Research, development and tests
made it possible to produce a new material for our Xray
protection garmentsFlexibiIity and comfort are preservedThe
hitherto used lead rubber material was produced by using lead
oxide powderNow by using tin grain of hiah purity we obtained a
leadless material SupraSine.
This physiological quality is poisonless in opposition to
lead and is recoverable by thermal smeltingA further basic
material is caoutchoucThus guarantees that during production of
SupraSine no
problematic odds and ends will arise.

New materials
The development of new materials has made possible a vast
improvement in the suppleness of our radiation protection
apronsSeverallayers of flexible lead rubber foils are enclosed
in a protective skin SupraSoftand are arranged so that they can
move slightly one over the other and flex to body movement.
Multi-Layer material POLYFLEX
Light movement between the various layers contributes greatly
to the wearer's comfortthe apron is able to bend like normal
clothingand the rigid folds which used to form in earlier
types(particularly when sitting)no longer occur. |
